Bio

Who? I'm Ava, a somewhat aloof, somewhat dark, but mostly normal eighteen-year-old girl. I plan to attend university to study history and literature. I'm a total history geek, particularly obsessive about the Middle Ages, Arthurian legend, the Tudor line (esp. the reign of Queen Elizabeth I), Asia, ancient mythology, and the Salem witch trials. I have been out of the country twice and hope to travel extensively in the future. My heritage is German, Scottish, and Italian.

Cooking is my other love. I collect cookbooks and every single tasty recipe I can find, and I love experimenting and making new things.

As a fair warning, you should know that I exude geekiness. I research in my spare time, I have been known to read the encyclopedia for pleasure, I live for word puzzles, I'm a fervent reader of both fiction and nonfiction, I indulge in video games, and Star Wars (movies and extended universe) is my ultimate fandom.

I am Pagan, of the solitary kitchen witch variety. I have been studying Paganism and Wicca for close to four years now and practicing for three. My patron goddess is Athena, but lately I have felt drawn to the Norse god Odin as well. I adore nature and all its beauty. Autumn is my favorite season - everything it embodies suits my personality.

I'm ambitious and driven to a degree, but we all have our lazy moments. I'm meticulously observant, always taking a closer look, and I find joy in the little things in life. I'm mostly solitary and I cherish my 'me' time, but I cannot live without my family or friends. I'm a hopeless romantic and a sucker for sappy love stories, and I'm taken by a boy who has earnestly swept me off my feet. &hearts
